Insurance Products Form Filings

DISB requires insurers to file product form filings for prior approval.

DISB’s Insurance Products Forms and Analysis Branch is responsible for conducting analytical review of insurance policy documents; (policies, riders, endorsements, amendments, applications, and advertisements) to ensure compliance to DC Official Code Title 31, DCMR Title 26, Departmental Bulletins and Federal Laws and Regulations. The review process can be accomplished electronically. (DISB will no longer accept hard copies of the insurance products form filings effective October 1, 2007.) The types of insurance regulated for review are Accident and Health, Life/Annuities and Property and Casualty.

The following links provide the guidelines for submitting product form filings to the agency.
